What to Expect

Welcome to our salon!

We are very happy you have chosen Personal Images Salon and Day Spa; we would like to share information about our salon policies with you.

COVID-19 Policy

This is to inform you of some new guidelines that will be mandated by the state.  Please understand that these guidelines are in place for the safety and protection of our staff and our valued guests.

  • Temperature checks will be taken at the door for both clients and staff.
  • A short questionnaire regarding prior travel and exposure to Covid-19.
  • Masks and or face shields will be worn by our staff, state guidelines require that our guests wear one as well. If you do not have a disposable mask you can purchase one for a minimal fee.
  • We have been diligently cleaning and sanitizing throughout the salon and we will continue to do so. We have hand sanitizer and sneeze guards throughout the salon as well. These items are in place to help protect all of us from potential exposure.
  • We ask currently that you do not bring others with you to your appointment. We have a limited amount of people due to capacity of our salon.
  • We ask that you do not arrive too early to your appointments as we cannot allow you into the salon until your scheduled appointment time.  We also ask that you phone us at 517-787-3800 to let us know you are here.  Once your service provider is ready for you, we will text you or come to your vehicle for you.
  • If you or someone you have encountered have been exposed to Covid-19 and you have not been through the proper quarantine time we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
  • If for some reason you are not feeling well, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. Please allow plenty of time for us to utilize our cancellation list.  We have a lot of guests trying to reschedule and being respectful of time will allow us to see more guests.

Payment Policy

We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit / debit cards.

Personal checks written on local banks numbered over 500 are gladly accepted. Any check returned for non-sufficient funds is subject to our NSF bank fee plus a $35.00 handling fee and can jeopardize your check writing privileges.

A credit card number is required to reserve three or more spa services or a wedding party of three or more guests. If you are unable to keep your appointment and do not notify our salon forty-eight hours prior to your scheduled appointment a charge per scheduled service may be imposed.

Cancellation Policy

We understand there are times when unexpected emergencies or conflicts arise. If these instances occur we ask you to please notify the salon twenty-four hours prior to your scheduled visit. This allows an opportunity to provide your scheduled time slot to another client on our waiting list.

Spa services or special occasions such as wedding parties require a minimum forty-eight hour notice.

If you have a wedding party booked please do not change individual services within your wedding party without notification. This assures your visit will proceed without problems or concerns.

 

No Show Policy

 

  • First Time No Show – it’s on us! No worries, we all get busy and forget.
  • Second Time No Show – 50% to reschedule. We hate you missed your appointment. As a favor, we’ll only charge you half.
  • Third Time No Show – 100% to reschedule. We miss you! But our stylists have been waiting…

 

Please understand that when you forget or cancel an appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill the appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.

 

Our appointments are confirmed 24 hrs in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a Rescheduling Fee will apply.

Children

For the comfort of our guests and safety of the children, please refrain from bringing children into the salon unless they are scheduled for an appointment.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Spa Services

Please plan to arrive ten minutes prior to your spa appointment; this will assure your service provider has adequate time to prepare you for a pleasurable spa visit.

What To Expect

Massage services require you to disrobe and cover yourself with a sheet and blanket. For your comfort your body will be covered at all times, only the area where the therapist is currently working will be exposed.

Spa skin treatment requirements are very similar except many services require more skin exposure. However your comfort is very important and we assure you will not be exposed in an uncomfortable manner.

Facials require that you remove upper clothing and wear a gown specially designed for facials. You will also be wrapped in blankets for your comfort.

Your comfort is very important to us, so at any time you feel discomfort please inform your service provider.
